The Miss Tourism Nigeria organization has announced the death of Maureen Onu, Miss Tourism Ebonyi 2016. Maureen who is a finalist for this year’s Miss Tourism Nigeria event set to hold in July, passed away after a brief illness last week at the age of 20. Speaking on this loss, Santiago Roberts, CEO of the Miss Tourism Nigeria Organization says “the brand has lost a true and a great gem; Maureen was one of the brightest who was always prompt to carry out instructions/tasks giving and willing to learn; she was looking forward to representing her state with pride during this year’s finals and with the hopes of becoming the first ever national tourism queen from ebonyi state.” May her soul rest in peace...amen

It appears some staff of Pan African bank, Ecobank in some African countries may soon lose their jobs as the management of the bank say they are reviewing their expansion strategy following a decline in profits and that they may pull out of some African countries to focus on its most promising markets. In an interview with  Reuters Africa , chairman of the bank, Emmanuel Ikazoboh, said falling global commodity prices that have hit economies in countries such as Nigeria and Ghana have caused a reduction in the banks profit margin. “The business model whereby we are just expanding and posting our flags (in different countries) has to be reconsidered,” he said Ecobank’s biggest operation is in Nigeria and the bank has said it wants to increase its market share here. A mother gave her son this everlasting scar because he did not wash plate. According to a twitter handle @Arican88, Äbdulgafer Ajenifuja left the house yesterday after an interview with him in hos house at ikorodu, Ajenifuja Alejo street, Benson road, on saturday. During an interview he said that his mother, Mojisola Jaqueen Ajennifuja, gave him a deep cut ob his head Friday because she ordered him to wash plates but he told her to give him more time to study for the practical he will be having the next day. Also said that his mother behavior towards him and his younger ones, is absurd, she treat them like she is not their biological mother. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase quits today. Arase is the 18th indigenous IGP. He was appointed in April last year by former President Goodluck Jonathan. Officers and men of the Force are anxiously awaiting President Muhammadu Buhari’s choice of successor. Force spokesperson Olabisi Kolawole told The Nation: “The IG’s tenure will end today and we don’t know who the next IG will be as I speak. “Even the IGP does not know but maybe he will know later today (yesterday)  or tomorrow(today) but as we speak now, we are all in the dark. When Freeze shared a photo of his dark skinned father in celebration of Father's Day, his fans began to drag him on Social Media, asking him if he had bleached his skin or was probably adopted.
