God bless you all. She tried, we tried, but God’s will prevailed. By Allah, in whose hands our lives are, Mayowa Ahmed has left us in this world. Naira Still Dropping Massively...

The exchange rate remained pressured last week over foreign exchange (forex) liquidity constraints, as the interbank market rates for spot trades oscillated between N312-N317.50/$ al, through the week. However, in the parallel market, the exchange rate closed flat week-on-week at N397/$, though traded as high as N393/$ earlier in the week. The naira hit all-time low of N365.25 to the dollar on Thursday at the interbank market. Already, analysts said the market will remain pressured in the interim, especially at the parallel market, until sizeable amount of forex flows into the system. Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had last week, increased the sale of forex to a single Bureau De Change operator from $30,000 to $50,000 weekly. The relative paucity of forex inflow generally has been put on struggling investor confidence, as many foreign investors are said to be watching ongoing reforms and their sustainability. Militancy: Niger Delta politicians in Buhari’s cabinet blackmailing Jonathan – IYC

Image
The umbrella body of Ijaw youths, the Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide, has condemned the desperation by some politicians to rope former President Goodluck Jonathan into the formation of the Niger Delta Avengers. The group, in a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Eric Omare, said the desperation came to the pinnacle with the media report that said that intelligence report indicated that Jonathan was one of the persons behind the formation of the NDA. The IYC said, “The characters behind this desperate plan are politicians of Niger Delta extraction who are in the present government and do not want a peaceful resolution of the renewed militancy in the region. “They prefer a military option that would result in the killing of innocent Niger Deltans. The genesis of these frivolous accusations against former President Jonathan started after he visited President Buhari few weeks ago. “And after the meeting and while speaking with the media, Jonathan said that everybody desired peace and

Aero Contractors Set To Lay Off Some Staff...

Image
Aero Contractors, one of Nigeria’s largest domestic airlines, is set to lay off some of its workers as its financial crisis becomes worsened. Already, the airline is in talks with aviation unions on how to cut down on the number of workers in its employ. It was gathered on Sunday that the airline, which met with officials of the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria last Thursday on the issue, would continue with the meeting this week. It was also learnt that the carrier was facing stiff operational challenges, a development that led to the closure of some of its stations. While officials of the carrier debunked claims that Aero was at the verge of shutting down completely, it was, however, gathered that the airline had not been able to bring in some of its airplanes that were sent out for routine maintenance due to foreign exchange constraints. Officials of ATSSSAN and the Airline Operators of Nigeria said on Sunday that the challenges were not pecu

THE Cross River State command of Nigeria Immigration Service has arrested a Cameroonian couple (names withheld by the command) with a two-week-old baby boy suspected to have been stolen.  The couple alleged that the baby was sold to them by an unidentified child trafficker in the south western part of Nigeria.  The state Comptroller of Immigration, Mrs. Funke Adeuyi, disclosed in Calabar on Saturday that the suspects were arrested on August 10 at the Nfum Control Post in Etung Local Government Area of the state by a border patrol team. Adeuyi said the suspects were arrested after the first line interrogation showed that their surnames did not tally. Adeuyi said, “After searching their travelling documents, we found out that their surnames did not tally. They also claimed to have been married for 15 years. This gave us room for suspicion and further investigation. “Our next line of action is to hand them over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Perso

Nigeria Needs Less Churches And More Factories - OAP Freeze.....

This is what he wrote on his page ''Take a look at the list of the top 10 countries that won medals at the 2016 olympics (bottom right), compare to the 10 least religious countries in the world(bottom left), and you will see that plus or minus one or two countries, the list is almost identical. Continue to read after the list.... With all our religions and self righteousness, all we could win so far is one embarrassing bronze medal? The Nigerian athletes themselves are heroes, competing against athletes from countries that consider sports a greater priority than religion, where athletes don't have to worry about feeding, hotel bills, flight tickets or sports kits. Many sportsmen could not fly out to represent Nigeria, yet private jets belonging to 'men of God' lay fallow. A whole giant of Africa is now fast becoming a former giant, because we exchanged our greatness in agriculture & commerce, for greatness in religious manipulation. Our governmen
