Today, the Nigerian Army set up a General Court Martial to try 20 soldiers involved in criminal activities which include murder, crimes against civilians, and illegal sales of firearms in the ongoing counter insurgency warfare in the Northeast. A court martial of the Nigerian Army has begun the trial of 20 officers and men for various offences, ranging from murder, gun-running to misconduct in the line of duty in Borno State. This was disclosed on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, shortly after the inauguration of the court martial. Brig. Gen.
